Historic 19th-century six-bedroom mansion in the heart of the 7th Arrondissement in Paris, featuring 732sqm of living space over five floors, complete with a swimming pool, sauna & courtyard.
RUE DE CHANALEILLES Heritage
Originally designed by Parisian architect, Pierre Charles Dusillion in 1842, this outstanding Neo-Renaissance property was created to accommodate his private family home and architecture studio.
With a full façade retention, the building was modernised in the early 2000s, creating an unusual fusion of classic Parisian architecture externally, combined with contemporary, open layouts internally.
RUE DE CHANALEILLES The Brief
Our design brief for Rue de Chanaleilles was to create a luxurious, contemporary family home in the heart of Paris, and reconfigure the layouts to optimise the use of the space and connections with the unique central courtyard and garden terraces.
We were tasked with delivering the OCCA turnkey design, procurement & installation service, ensuring that our clients could relax, confident in the knowledge that every last detail was considered and taken care of before they moved in.
RUE DE CHANALEILLES Our approach
Influenced by the modernist and contemporary nature of the interior spaces, we took a mid-century modern approach to the interior design of the property, selecting finishes and furnishings that complemented the simple internal architecture, clean lines and functionality of the open plan design.
Developing deeper connections to the existing central courtyard and Japanese-inspired rockpool, we re-configured and re-orientated the rooms to bring more natural light to key areas and deliver a sense of continuity between the internal and external spaces.

The transformation of the house is fantastic, so much attention to detail! We love everything, especially the bright new bedrooms and the stunning entre space
