This five-star Scottish castle hotel recently underwent a £20m refurbishment and extension programme with OCCA providing the full FF&E packages to the new guest rooms, deluxe suites and outstanding Trocadero's entertainment venue.

Crossbasket Castle Background

Crossbasket Castle is a 16th-century tower house with a rich history, rescued from ruin in 2011 by Alison and Steven Timoney, who have since lovingly transformed it into a luxury 40-bed hotel and glamorous entertaining | events venue nestled in the lush South Lanarkshire countryside.

Crossbasket Castle The Brief

Working closely with the owners and a largely local FF&E supply chain, OCCA Procurement was tasked with bringing the concept for the new rooms & suites to life while delivering the new upscale, entertainment-led restaurant, Trocadero’s.

Alison’s concept for the Castle is rooted in transporting guests back to a bygone era, with her vision of creating a beautiful 1920’s, art-deco-inspired interior, that evokes a sense of glamour and sophistication not seen anywhere else in Scotland.

Crossbasket Castle What We Did

From the initial stages, OCCA Procurement worked closely with the Client Team to identify the FF&E inventory and budgets and produce a detailed Statement of Requirements for the project, clearly defining the scope, deliverables and cashflow across the project duration.

Our FF&E team got to work on building out the FF&E schedules and undertaking the product development tasks necessary to deliver the multiple unique & bespoke products in the scheme.

Next, we worked with our extensive supply chain to source and purchase the remaining furniture, fittings, equipment and accessories, leveraging our unique background and purchasing power to uncover the optimum products for the project.

From there we co-ordinated a custom logistics, warehousing and installation strategy to suit the project programme and deliver the most direct and cost-effective inbound transportation of the goods.

Our turnkey, on-site installation team then moved in to assemble, position and style every element of the FF&E, ready for the first guest arriving.
