The OCCA Procurement team was appointed by US-based Old Course Hotel owners, Kohler Co; to be their FF&E procurement partners in the UK, starting on the 2020 | 21 expansion works at the iconic property in St Andrews.
How it began Background
The Old Course Hotel is one of the world’s leading golf resorts, owned by Kohler’s hospitality & real estate group, Destination Kohler, which has a portfolio of hotels and resorts in the US and Scotland.
In early 2020, Kohler Co undertook a new-build, vertical extension project at the hotel to include thirty-nine new guestrooms, ten new suites & one new Penthouse, complete with an expansion and full re-design of the Hall of Champions, to create a 450-seater wedding & conference facility and the introduction of a new restaurant at the hotel, the Swilcan Loft, overlooking the eighteenth tee at the Old Course.
What we did FF&E Procurement Services
OCCA’s dedicated team project managed every aspect of the FF&E and OS&E procurement process, from kick-off to close out across the bedrooms, Penthouse, Hall of Champions and the Swilcan Loft.
Services included coordinating with the Kohler Design team, budgeting & accounting, product design & development, global supply chain coordination and delivering the on-site turnkey installation to ensure that all the FF&E and OS&E was all in place in time for the 150th Open Championship at the Old Course.
Despite the challenges of the global pandemic, lockdowns and even the Suez canal crisis at the time, nothing stopped the OCCA Procurement team from delivering the project on time and under budget.
