Striking re-brand of this existing property to a new Holiday Inn complete with Open Lobby concept
How it began Backstory
Delivering a fresh, contemporary and dynamic Open Lobby design, our transformation of the existing Leaf Hotel in Dover to a new Holiday Inn Dover was completed on-site during August 2020 – as our FF&E Team overcame all the challenges that Covid and the lockdown brought.
Our interior design for the unusual octagon-shaped public areas embraces the multifunctional characteristics and brand hallmarks of the Holiday Inn brand, created to deliver modern & contemporary spaces that flex to every guests’ needs.
What we did Our approach
Executing on the IHG Open Lobby concept and adapting this for the unique location of the Leaf Hotel, our Interior Design Team focused on the guest experience and improving operational efficiencies in the existing hotel. In bringing the Lounge, Bar and To Go Cafe to the centre of the space, we’ve created a dynamic and activated hub, central to the hexagonal architecture. This is complemented by a welcoming and more intimate dining experience, along with a stand-alone business, conference and banqueting facility.
Our FF&E Procurement team then took the design and brought it to reality during one of the most challenging times in history! They undertook the full turnkey process from budgeting to installation and everything in between.
an excellent execution of the Holiday Inn Open Lobby in a very challenging building
