Interior Design & Procurement Projects Crowne Plaza Gerrards Cross

The multi-million-pound refurbishment of an existing unbranded hotel was completed on behalf of the Cairn Hotel Group, to enable the conversion to the Crowne Plaza Gerrards Cross, as part of the IHG collection.

The reconfiguration of the public areas to relocate the bar improved the reception, provide a club lounge and improve the leisure offering by creating a spa, fitness suite and juice bar. Already benefitting from a swimming pool and conference facilities, the addition of these brand aligned spaces offer guests a full Crowne Plaza experience. Where feasible bedrooms were increased in size and a collection of club rooms was created in keeping with the brand. Layouts provide operationally sound, user-focused solutions within the parameters of the existing building.

With the role of the hotel as a wedding & conference destination as a key part of the interior design brief, the concept embraces a neutral palette. Clean lines complement rich materials, textures, and details. Warm, dark timbers combine with light textures, copper tones, and sumptuous velvet finishes to create elegant interiors. The bedroom and ensuite concept offers a high specification, stylish and inviting haven for rest and relaxation.

A contemporary collection of upholstered furniture with exposed timber and metalwork detailing creates a mix of groupings perfectly designed for informal meetings, business, and relaxation. Bold accent colours and strong shapes add a sense of playfulness. The use of geometric patterns and faceted surfaces further enhance the strong shapes and clean lines of the design.

Following the successful transition to Crowne Plaza Gerrards Cross, the hotel offers a distinctive aesthetic perfectly designed for the four-star business or leisure traveller. Extensive alterations to the public areas have addressed operational issues and space flow, creating a variety of spaces for a range of uses. The application of rich interior finishes has a stunning visual impact.
