Description
This glamorous Hyde Park Apartment interior is an early Occa Design project and remains one of our favourites. Set in stunning architectural surroundings our interior concept focuses on simplistic elegance at its best.
Luxury and understated opulence are at the forefront of this interior design style, perfect for country piles, or fabulous city apartments.
Phenomenal high ceilings, rich in ornate plasterwork and original timber flooring set the scene for this interior, Marble fireplaces with exquisitely intricate decorative detailing match the beautiful plaster wall panelling. Spaces are flooded with light from the huge garden facing double doors. Such fantastic surroundings deserve to be savoured and so with this in mind we have carefully selected a furniture collection that does not try to fill or hide the rooms, simply to enhance and accentuate the rooms in an equally elegant and exquisite way.
Classic furniture shapes appeal to the existing architecture of the spaces. The Occa Design team have curated a collection of independent furniture items from specialist furniture suppliers. The furniture shapes are all very slim and elegant, tailored in their style and with carefully selected details, from stud work to handles. The proportions of the furniture carefully consider the grandeur of the spaces, accentuating and defining the stunning rooms.
Chrome, mirror and glass are used to fabulous effect creating reflections, movement and lightness throughout the interiors. A rich finishes palette of cashmere, satin, velvet and silk, in cool monochrome tones, are layered across to the elegant styling.
Accessories are kept to a minimum. The careful election of key pieces further adds to the strong sense of identity and pared back elegance.
